Crazy Pet Portraits

Supplies:
4x4 canvases
Modge Podge
Acrylic paint
Brushes
Scrapbook paper
Scrapbook letters
Wooden canvas stands
Black spray paint
Silver glitter spray paint
Printer

I don't know where I come up with these crazy ideas but here we go!
I made these as a gift for my Aunt.  These are her adorable pets Patti the Boston Terrier and Winston the cat.
I cut scrapbook paper to fit the mini canvas and modge podged it on.
I then added the print out of each pet along with a scrapbook letter for their name.
I Modge Podged again and added some sparkle spray paint.
Cute and unusual gift!

Conference Table Repaint 6.10.22

My office had dated, heavy, cherry office furniture. I wanted a more modern, relaxed styled office. The conference table has a great basic style so I decided to paint it to match. Before I used Zinsser cover stain to prep the wood surface. I love this cover stain because it doesn’t require any sanding! It’s an oil based primer and works fabulously! I used 2 coats using a trim roller on the large parts and a brush for the nooks and crannies. I applied 2 coats for full coverage.  I’ve used this process on my kitchen cabinets and they still look great with no chips. Read that blog entry here:  http://beulahbags.blogspot.com/2012/04/2911-kitchen-redo.html?m=1 Next I applied 2 coats of Kettle Black with a roller and brush. I waited a few hours in between coats for ample dry time. Finally, I applied 2 clear coats to seal and protect the paint from wear. After:

Emily's Teacher Rocking Chair

This rocking chair was created as a gift for my student teacher, Emily. The rocking chair was painted with the colors of her new classroom. Emily loves owls so I painted a cute owl on the back part of the chair. Students helped me paint the rest of the chair after 2 coats of primer. I probably could've just done 1 coat of primer but went with 2!
